Culinariy tradition

 

 

We are a family restaurant. Our restaurant was founded by Irene Iribarren Sancha. She decided to open a small restaurant in San Gregorio street called "Restaurante San Gregorio". This was a small restaurant for 25 people, it was situated on first floor and the staff was two people who worked in the kitchen as well as in the dining room.

 

But in Pamplona, after the Spanish civil war, these were common characteristics for restaurants in Pamplona. There are hard days and all help is necessary, thus Presen and Benito, Irene's daughter and son, joined her.

 

When the business was consolidated, it was decided to move at a bigger place. The place is a restaurant on a first floor in San Nicolás street. It's name is maybe, one of the most important for the people of Pamplona "San Fermín". It was the seventies and the business started to be run by the son and daughter of the founder.

 

Familiar tradition continues. Nowadays Iñaki, one of Irene's grandson, has joined and he is the pastrycook adding "new flavour" to our gastronomic style.

 

Our gastronomic style is a regional cuisine using excelent quality regional products, with a really good price offering great value for your money.

 

       

 
 
 
 

Winter 2011 - 2012

 

Winter is the season for the really famous vegetables of Navarra: artichokes, cardoon...etc

 

Their high quality allows to taste them only with a little olive oil
